Apple iWatch 2 Design Appears, More Elegant Than Ever

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Apple iWatch 2 Design Appears, More Elegant Than Ever Loading ... The creator of the first Apple iWatch and the iCam camera, ADR Studio has now come up with the iWatch 2 concept, that’s shown below. It’s been two years since the first iWatch design, that was praised and published on Gizmodo and Wired. Now there’s a new device, one that integrates WiFi, Bluetooth, a RSS reader and 32GB of memory.

You also get a weather forecast feature, the ability to connect to the iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth or WiFi and a LCD projector, plus front facing camera. The Apple iWatch 2 has a casing that reminds me of a jewel, with a very original slide to open box. The watch has a slim design, uses a polycarbonate main body, an aluminum chassis, PK2 Kevlar insert and a bracelet in 5 colors with polycarbonate insert.
I expect here the battery life to be simply amazing and in case you’re wondering if this thing it’s real, know that it’s a mere concept for now, but people have been wearing their iPod nano units like watches, by attaching bracelets to them. That’s as close to a real iWatch as you’re ever going to get… at least till Apple makes it. Once again great job for ADR Studio, that has some fantastic designs, I must admit…

In a step to further make train reservation ticketing system passenger friendly, the ministry of railways has decided to permit Short Messaging Service (SMS) sent by Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) equivalent to Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS).
The decision has come into effect from 1st February, 2012.
The message will be considered valid only if- it contains all the vital ticket details like PNR, train number, date of journey, class, name and number of passengers, coach and seat number and fare paid; also if possible, the SMS will accommodate the names of all passengers booked on the e-ticket, otherwise maximum number of passengers.

The railways earlier decided to treat the screen shot of the e-ticket displayed through laptops/palmtops/mobile phones, referred to as virtual reservation Message (VRM) and the Mobile Reservation Message (MRM) for tickets booked on mobile phones combined with valid photo-id in original, as an instrument on par with the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS). The SMS will have to be displayed during the course of On-board/Off-board checking. If the passenger fails to produce/display this SMS due to any eventuality (loss, discharged mobile/laptop etc.) but has the prescribed proof of identity, a penalty of Rs 50 per ticket as applicable to such cases will be levied.

NOKIA panics as a minor software glitch hits its flagship LUMINA 800

Nokia has identified a software glitch in some units of its Lumia 800 and offered to replace the handsets of affected users within a week of the Windows-based smartphone's high-profile launch in the country.

"India impact will be minimal since we just started shipping," a Nokia India spokeswoman said. The glitch prevents the handset from accessing full battery capacity and Nokia said it can be fixed with a software update that it will release early next year, but critics see it as a major setback to the Finnish giant's efforts to defend its leadership in the smartphone market under threat from Samsung.

Nokia had unleashed its biggestever marketing blitz to promote Lumia , its first Windows-based smar tphone, which many analysts called a make-or-break product for the world's largest handset maker. An expert said this will impact brand Nokia. "An amazing glitch after an amazing marketing campaign ," he said, requesting anonymity . "Already under fire, this battery issue would come as a New Year gift for its rivals."
